My Images

This project requires me to take a range of images of what I would associate the word ‘home’ to represent for me. To me it means being in an environment that is most comfortable to you, and where the décor of a room will help in showing the character of the person living in it. In my images I have tried to build up an overall image of what my view of home would look like, from the view outside to what objects I have placed in it. It is a way of re-contextualization where I have taken objects from their original place and moved to a new one, which is the same for myself being having moved to university. As I lived in a calming home I wanted my home at university to give the same feel. I believe that making the images dark with a soft tone creates a comfortable feel to them. I have also tried to take these images in an abstract way, as my home away from home is new and ever changing.
